Pablo Picasso
Pablo Picasso (b. 1881, Spain) is considered to be one of the most famous painters in the twentieth century. In addition to painting, Picasso was also a printmaker, ceramicist, stage designer, poet and playwright. He spent most of his adult life in France. Picasso is credited, along with Georges Braque, with the creation of Cubism. Exceptionally prolific throughout the course of his long life, Picasso achieved universal renown and immense fortune for his revolutionary artistic accomplishments, and became one of the best-known figures in 20th-century art.
